Feed the Homeless

The Kona Visayan Club, in collaboration with other Filipino organizations and the State Office of Social Ministry, participates in the Feed the Homeless program. We serve lunch of rice, pork adobo and green salad four times a year to homeless individuals and families in the Kona area.

Annual Fil-Am Friendship Doubles Tennis Tournament

Headed by Ms. Lovette Llantos (gonnalove-it.com), this annual tournament has become the Big Island’s biggest Tennis Tournament event. This is also KVC’s biggest and only fundraisingevent to support its Scholarship Program.

Annual COVO Convention

Members of the Kona Visayan Club attend this yearly gathering of Visayans from across the state to renew friendships, meet new friends and most importantly, discuss current and relevant issues that affect the Visayans and the Filipino community at large.

Annual Kona Coffee Festival

KVC is a regular participant of this annual event honoring the Kona Coffee Industry. Events include the Lantern Parade and the International Market Place where KVC members sell and serve authentic Filipino dishes.

Annual Christmas Program

Every year, KVC puts on a family Christmas event where all Filipinos, Visayans or otherwise, gather to celebrate the Christmas season with lots of food, music and dance.

Typhoon Relief Fund Drives

Whenever there is a need, KVC, in cooperation with COVO and the Filipino Community Center in Oahu, organizes relief fund drives to help victims of calamities and natural disasters in the Philippines.

Other Fundraising Events

KVC conducts different fundraising activities to fund different projects and advocacies. We are grateful to our community for supporting our efforts.
