Various chapters scattered around the world of the Cebu Institute of Technology Alumni Association (CITAA) have been generously supporting poor but deserving college students at CIT, their Alma Mater, through their scholarship program. To date they have 46 scholars. Recently, they have embarked on a new community outreach program aimed at extending farther their helping hand towards the poor community in general. A network of generous souls have connected to form an international partnership towards a charitable cause. Thus, “CLASSROOMS FOR THE KIDS” was born! Further research and discussions have led to the choice of Cantao-an Elementary School to be the pilot project. Two classrooms will not help the millions of children & the thousands of schools that need them but it will help a few children and on particular school who need it the most in Cebu, Philippines.
